Video creator questions
How long can my videos be?
Up to 90 minutes and 10 GB each. Upload in up to 4K; videos play in up to 1080p HD. Until your first sale, public videos can be up to 3 minutes (members-only videos can be longer).
Can I bring videos from another platform?
Yes, if you have the files and the right to reuse them. Upload MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V files, up to five at a time. ByUs can’t copy a video from a link or pull in a whole channel.
How much video can I store?
One hour to start. Your first sale unlocks 10 hours, plus 1 more hour for every paying member, with no upper limit. Deleting a video frees up its time.
Can members watch before everyone else?
Yes. Post a video as members-only and pick when it turns free for everyone: after 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. It happens on its own.
Can people who aren’t members buy a video?
Yes. Set a price to unlock one members-only video ($5 to $500), or bundle 2 to 50 posts into a series with one price.
